Transit Miami is another good resource for Transit reporting in the Miami area. I enjoyed reading this recent post Bus Stop Blues about the "horrors" of being on a bus -- a shared space that is not "my car"...

Another good post was Miami-Dade Commissioner has an ‘idea’ -- talks of the urban services boundary -- a familiar topic in Sarasota where we just voted to enforce ours!!

According to Forbes Magazine Florida has 3 of the top ten worst cities for commuting.... maybe Florida needs to work on other transit options!?!??!?!

Gas Prices, Tri-Rail Use Rise

In March, Tri-Rail's numbers were up 20 percent. Last month, they were up 28 percent.

"Thursday of last week we carried 15,871 passengers, which is definitely the second biggest day in the history of the system," Tri-Rail representative Bonnie Arnold said.

Monthly ridership has climbed to 350,000.
